Who can apply
Non-European citizens living outside Italy can apply through a selection call based on academic curriculum and merit.

Degrees obtained in Italy
A Bachelor's Degree, or another qualification obtained abroad and recognized as valid, belonging to the following classes:
- L25 Agricultural and forestry sciences and technologies (ex D.M. 270/04 ), or class 20 (ex D.M. 509/99)
- L26 Food sciences and technologies (ex D.M. 270/04) or class 20 (ex D.M. 509/99).
If the Bachelor degree is different from the ones listed above, you are required to have at least 66 ECTS in the following Scientific Disciplinary Sectors (SDS):
- at least 18 ECTS among: from AGR/01 to AGR/06, AGR/14, AGR/15, from AGR/17 to AGR/20, from VET/01 to VET/04, VET/07, MED/49
- at least 18 ECTS among: from AGR/07, AGR/11, AGR/12, AGR/16, MED/07, MED/42, VET/05, VET/06, from BIO/01 to BIO/05, BIO/07, from BIO/09 to BIO/11, BIO/13, BIO/18, BIO/19
- at least 12 ECTS among: from MAT/01 to MAT/09, INF/01, ING-INF/05, from FIS/01 to FIS/08, SECS-S/01, SECS-S/02, SECS-S/06
- at least 6 ECTS among: from CHIM/01 to CHIM/07, CHIM/10, CHIM/11, AGR/13, BIO/10
- at least 6 ECTS among: from AGR/08 to AGR/10, ICAR/06, ICAR/15, from ING-IND/09 to ING-IND/11, ING-IND/22
- at least 6 ECTS among: AGR/01, ICAR/22, ING-IND/35, IUS/03, IUS/04, IUS/13, IUS/14, SECS-P/01, da SECS-P/06 a SECS-P/10, SECS-P/13.

Degrees obtained outside Italy
The Admission Committee will evaluate if the study plan of your Bachelor's Degree meets the admission requirements.
English language proficiency at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is required.
You can prove English proficiency through
a certificate not older than 5 years, among those listed at page Accepted certificates for admission to study programs (point 2).
A written statement issued by your university stating that English is the official teaching language of your degree.
A self-declaration if you are a citizen of an English-speaking country.
A basic knowledge of the Italian language.
If you are admitted to the interview, you'll be asked to conduct part of the interview in Italian. If the selection committee considers the level of Italian insufficient, you will have to include an elective or extra-curricular course in Italian in your study plan if admitted to the programme.

Pre-enrollment on Universitaly: within 2 weeks from confirmation
Visa: before enrollment
Bachelor's degree graduation:
- by June 30, 2026, for non-Europeans graduating outside Italy
- by October 31, 2026, for Europeans and equivalents and for non Europeans graduating in Italy with valid study permit
Enrollment at UniTrento: within the deadline communicated by UniTrento Staff
Apply for admission
- Deadline: 4 March 2026 at 12:00 CET
- Application fee: € 30,00
An official translation of each document is required, when the original document is not produced in English or Italian.
Illegible documents will not be considered and incomplete or non-submitted application forms will be excluded from the selection process.
When you submit your application, you must upload the following documents:
- a copy of a valid passport with photo and personal data only.
- Curriculum vitae et studiorum according to the Europass template.
- A copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate.
- A copy of the transcript of academic records including examinations, results and credits and information on the grading scale. If you have not graduated yet, you have to include also the list of courses not yet taken or passed.
- English proficiency at B2 level certified as described in the Language requirements.
- Proof of Italian knowledge, if available.
The admission Committee will evaluate the entry requirements of each candidate taccording to the programme regulations.

In case you are admitted, you will be notified by email from UniTrento Staff with the instructions needed to confirm the place.

Declining your position
If you decide not to enroll, please inform the Master Admission Office as soon as possible via email. Your prompt notice can make a real difference, giving another student the chance to enroll on time.
Before you can officially enrol at the University of Trento, you must:
- complete the “Pre-enrolment” application specified at Step 6 of Universitaly - First steps page
- apply for a study Visa for enrolment at the Italian consulate or embassy in your country.
This procedure may take time: please speed up procedures by contacting the Italian Representative as soon as possible.
You will be guided through this procedure and notified with detailed instructions by the University of Trento as well, after admission.
Enrollment must be completed by the deadline stated in the call for admission: if you do not meet the deadline, your admission will be rejected.
Enrollment is conditional upon the positive evaluation of the eligibility of the university degree.
Further details about the enrollment to the Master’s degree will be provided via email by the Master Admission Office in due time.
You must be in Trento for the start of classes, in early September: the exact arrival date will be notified by the University staff in Summer.
Lessons take place only in person.
