Admission requirements
To be admitted to the programme, you must have a secondary school diploma from in Italy (“diploma di maturità”) or from abroad. If you get your secondary school diploma outside Italy, check whether it is valid for admission and which documents you need to submit on the page Admission requirements for students with international qualifications.
The course has a limited number of places: to be admitted, you must pass a selection process based on an admission test and be listed in the candidates admitted to the programme in the ranking list.
Admission call a.y. 2026/2027
The following categories are eligible to participate in the selection process:
- Italian citizens, European citizens and equivalent
- Non-European citizens residing outside Italy may only apply in the first session.

Dates and deadlines
First session
Open to European and non European candidates
- Admission application: from mid December 2025 to 6 March 2026 at 12:00
- Admission test: 23 March 2026 online (remotely)
- Ranking publication: by 2 April 2026
- Pre-enrolment UniTrento: by the deadline indicated in the rankings
- Educational qualification Confirmation: from 6 to 17 July 2026 at 12:00.
Second session
Open only to European and equivalent candidates
- Admission application: from 9 April 2026 to 4 May 2026 at 12:00
- Admission test: 14 May 2026 in person (physical presence)
- Ranking publication: by 20 May 2026
- Pre-enrolment UniTrento: by the deadline indicated in the rankings
- Educational qualification Confirmation: from 6 to 17 July 2026 at 12:00.
Admission application
In order to register for the admission test, you need to submit the admission application by the deadline set for the session you want to apply for:
- authenticate and create a profile on the UniTrento website by logging in using SPID, CIE or another way described on the log in website
- select the programme Comparative, European and International legal studies
- pay the application fee of €35,00.
You’ll receive a confirmation email as your request is sent.
Admission test
The test will be held on the following dates:
- 23 March 2026 online remotely
- 14 May 2026 in person at University of Trento (trento, Italy).

Rankings
Rankings are published on this webpage.
Further rankings will be published only in case of available seats.
If you are admitted in the ranking you must meet deadlines and procedures described on the ranking: if you miss it, you can not enrol.
Enrollment
You must enrol at UnItrento and confirm your qualification at the same time by the deadline set in the raking:
If you don't complete the enrollment process by the deadline, you can not enrol.
If you complete the enrollment procedure for one programme, but then you are admitted to another degree programme and you want to switch your preference, please write an email with your data to the Admission office.
