The programme is free access to students with Italian or European citizenship and equivalents: in order to be admitted, admission requirements must be verified according to the procedures described on this page and set out in the Programme’s regulations.
The following requirements must be met for admission to the course.
Qualification and curricular requirements
A bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification of at least three years' duration, also obtained abroad if recognised as suitable.
The following degrees are considered eligible, according to the italian higher education system:
a Bachelor's Degree from class L9 (ex DM 270/04) obtained at University of Trento
- a Bachelor's Degree from class L9 (ex DM 270/04) obtained at another Italian university, with a minimum number of ECTS (univerity credits) in specific groups of scientific disciplinary fields (SSD), indicated in the Programme regulations in Article 2, Table A;
- a Bachelor's Degree from a different class of degree, with a minimum number of ECTS in specific groups of scientific disciplinary fields, indicated in the Programme regulations in Article 2, Table B;
- a degree awarded abroad that is recognized as eligible. In these cases, the verification of curricular requirements is carried out by a Committee appointed by the Departmental Council on the basis of equivalences between the contents of exams taken in previous courses of study and those corresponding to the areas and disciplinary fields indicated in the Programme regulations in Article 2, Table B.
Personal background
To be admitted to the programme you must have obtained a weighted average point of at least 23/30 in the Bachelor's Degree course, excluding the final examination (in the calculation the grade “30 cum laude” is equivalent to 31).
For candidates with a degree obtained abroad and recognized as eligible, the verification of the adequacy of personal background may also include a test before a committee appointed by the Departmental Council.
Language skills
Knowledge of English at least at level B2 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is required. You can prove it in one of the following ways
- by having passed a university exam in English B2 as part of your degree programme;
- by providing a language certificate recognised by UniTrento.
If you don’t have any of these certifications, you can take and pass an English test at the University Language Centre before enrolment.
- Application for admission: 26 May to 20 November 2025.
- Outcome of evaluation: within one month of application submission.
- Deadline for enrollment and meeting all the requirements: 19 December 2025.
To enroll, you must submit the online “Request for admission” application by the deadline indicated even if you are a student, graduate or undergraduate in a UniTrento degree program and already meet the admission requirements.
If you have not done your undergraduate degree in UniTrento, in the online application you must attach a self-declaration of the exams you have taken indicating for each exam:
- the Scientific Disciplinary Sector (SSD)
- the credits (CFU, undergraduate credits)
- the date on which you took it
- the final grade of the exam
- the syllabus.
You can apply even if you have not yet obtained your bachelor's degree and have not completed your exams.
The outcome of the evaluation will be communicated to you by Student Support Service via email.
If you are missing certain curricular requirements, you can enroll in Single Courses for Master's Degrees and take the corresponding exams by the registration deadline.
If you don't meet the language proficiency requirement, you can make it up by passing an English language test at the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA).
The written tests will be held in person in Trento at the CLA, while the speaking part will be online.
Once you have achieved the language requirement, write an email to the Student support service in order to proceed with the enrolment.

As you fulfill all the admission requirements, the Student Support service will send you the instructions tu fill in the enrolment request.
Enrollment request is open from July to December 19 2025.
After receiving the email with your matriculation number, in order to ‘activate’ your first-year course registration, you must complete the yearly enrollment within 7 days of receiving the email: this is required to access all University services such as wi-fi, the canteen card, library services, to register for exams, and CLA language courses.
