  • Interventions, Works and Infrastructures for land protection and water management

  • Technologies for the protection and remediation of environmental matrices (air, water, soil)

  • Sustainable Interventions, including in the context of conflicts over environmental resources.

You will also learn to

  • Understand the processes governing the interactions between the natural and built environment, including the effects of ongoing climate change.

  • To be able to use mathematical models and to critically interpret the results of numerical simulations.

  • Speak and write in English in order to work in an international context, thanks to the language courses and the international context of the course.

  • Develop transversal skills such as flexibility, communication and problem solving through various group work activities.

Career Opportunities

Upon graduation, you will be able to find employment in the following areas

  • Land protection: land development, conservation and restoration, water defence, development and regulation, environmental monitoring and civil protection

  • Resource management: exploitation of surface and deep water resources, surface and groundwater remediation, urban hydraulic infrastructure

  • Environmental protection: management and treatment of waste water, waste and gaseous pollutants, remediation of contaminated sites

  • Environmental planning: protection, rehabilitation and improvement of environmental resources, environmental impact assessment, environmental and territorial management in the context of international cooperation.

  • To practise the regulated profession of civil and environmental engineer, it is necessary to pass the state examination and be registered with the professional body.

Further Studies

During your Master's degree, you can enrol in TALETE, a professional training programme that runs in parallel with your studies and allows you to develop transversal skills that are increasingly in demand in the world of work.

Once you have obtained your Master's degree, you can continue your studies by applying for the
