Study plan: what it is

Testo

The study plan is the full set of activities (classes, laboratories, internships) needed to achieve the degree.

Filling in the study plan is necessary to enter these activities in your Record book in Esse3: you can only take exams if for the activities already included your Record book.

To choose which activities to include in your study plan, check the Didactic Offer ("Manifesto degli studi").

You can only fill in your study plan in two fixed periods each year in the 1st and 2nd semester.

Free choice courses

Testo

To ensure a high-quality learning experience and effective teaching, elective courses can be followed by a maximum number of students. For this reason, they are assigned before the beginning of each academic year through a selection process.

  1. Application submission: at the end of May, you will receive an email from the Department with a link to the online application form for choosing elective courses for the following academic year and the deadlines for completing it.
  2. Course selection: you can indicate up to 5 courses in order of preference. Assignments are made based on preferences and the order in which applications are received.
  3. Results: the list of admitted students is published on this page.
  4. Study plan: you must include the assigned courses in your study plan during the submission period following the assignment. If you were not admitted to courses of your interest, you may be contacted if spots become available after the study plan submission deadline.

Study plan in Esse3 plus supplementary form

If you need to:

  • add to your Record book activities that you did not find when submitting your study plan online in Esse3;
  • add to your Record book activities offered by other programmes from the same type of yours (Bachelor's or Master's degree);

  • Save the file it in PDF format.

Check the Career and Record Book

Testo

To make sure that the requested changes to your study plan have been successfully made, please check your Esse3 personal area, section Career - Record Book and ensure that all the desired didactic activities are actually present.

The section Study plan - Career plan may not correspond with what is present in the section Career - Record Book, or not all the didactic activities in the Career - Record Book may have a “P” (“Didactic Activity linked to the plan”): this will not affect your Study plan.
