- move to a different degree programme within UniTrento
- transfer from another university
- have previously earned credits that could be recognised
you can apply for an assessment of your academic background to find out which year you can enrol in and how many credits may be recognised.
If your credits are not sufficient to enter a year subsequent to the first directly, you will need to apply for first-year admission and pass the admission test: any recognisable credits will be recorded in your transcript of recors once you enrol.
Conditions to be admitted to years subsequent to the first
Admission to years subsequent to the first year is possible only under the conditions listed below:
- there must be available places for enrolment in the 2nd and 3rd year (i.e. the limited number of students is not filled for that year)
- you meet the minimum curricular requirements described in the "Linee guida"
How to apply for the 2026/2027 academic year
Applications reopen from 17 August to 4 September 2026 for remaining available seats.
Results will be communicated by 11 September, or in time for the start of classes of the chosen programme.
For the assessment, only credits earned by 16 July 2026 will be taken into consideration.
Any credits earned between 16 July and 30 September 2026 may only be considered for the recognition of additional credits in your transcript.

This second session is open to European and equivalent citizens only.
Seats are available:
- in the 2nd and 3rd year of the Italian-taught track
- in the 3rd year of the English-taught track.
