    The Department of Sociology and Social Research organizes severals opportunities that allow you to:

    • acquire new skills of a technical and methodological nature.

    ECTS seminars

    ECTS seminars are intended especially for students enrolled in the Department's courses: credits earned by attending these seminars will be recognized in your study path. Schedule and how to register are available on the ECTS seminars page.

    Conferences, meetings and presentations

    The Department organizes conferences, seminars, meetings and presentations in which all students are invited to participate: all the events from Department of Sociology and Social Research.

    External activities authorization

    If you need to carry out activities outside the UniTrento location, related to any course activity, or the thesis projetc, you must require in advance a specific authorization in order to grant insurance coverage.     Funding for external study and research activities

    If you are regularly enrolled or enrolled in the course, you can submit an application for a grant to carry out stays and visits for study or research, in Italy and abroad. More information on the page: Funding for students engaged in external study or research activities.

    External professional and training activities recognition

    If you carry out training or professional activities external to the programme, which can be considered consistent with its content and objectives, you can request them to be recognized  to replace internships, elctive activities, "Meth Lab", transversal skills, IT skills.
    The number of recognizable credits and the minimum duration of the activity are indicated on the page Internship.
    To apply for recognition, fill in the DSSR-Application for recognition language certifications and outside activity and attach:

    • the certificate of the institution or company in which you carried out the activity, which must include the period and duration in hours
    • a report written following the Internship final report template.

    Courses end with a final assessment or exam, whose purpose is to measure student learning.

    They are held during exam sessions at the end of each semester on certain dates ("appelli").

    Some courses may include an intermediate assessment during the semester.

    In every exam session there are multiple exam dates (appelli) for the same course.
