Compulsory language skills

To access the Bachelor’s Degree Course in Computer, Communications and Electronics Engineering, the following language skills are required:

  • knowledge of the Italian language;
  • knowledge of the English language (level B1 or higher);
  • knowledge of the English language (level B2 or higher) for those attending the curriculum in English.

The levels of linguistic knowledge required are different depending on the year of enrollment (teaching regulations) and the chosen path (in Italian or English).

Students enrolled from the academic year 2022/2023

You must have the following knowledge:

  • to access the course, the knowledge of English language at level B1 (B2 for those attending the curriculum in English), to be certified or acquired before the start of the 2nd year;
  • to graduate, the knowledge of English language at level B2 (C1 or Technical English for those attending the curriculum in English).

If you are not an Italian native speaker, in order to graduate you will have to pass an A1-CEFR level Italian language proficiency test.

Students enrolled up to the academic year 2021/2022

You must have the following knowledge:

  • to access the course, the knowledge of the English language at level B1, which you must demonstrate or acquire before the start of the 2nd year
  • to graduate, the knowledge of English at level B2.

To demonstrate or obtain the language skills to access to the course:

  • you can take the additional section "Test of knowledge of the English language" in the admission test and pass it with a score equal to or higher than the level specified in the admission notice
  • or you can submit with the admission application a language certificate with equal to or higher level required in the educational regulations of your year of enrollment and of your path.

After enrollment, an English test with an "approved" or "not approved" result and 0 CFU (university credits) will be recorded in your booklet (career).

If you do not have any certificate and you have not passed the English section in the admission test, the result is "not approved": you must then pass an English language test of the level required for your path at the University Language Center (CLA ) before the start of the second year of the course or to be able to take the exams of the second year.

You can demonstrate or achieve the language knowledge required to complete the study path in one of the following ways:

If with the application for admission you have already submitted a certificate equal to or higher than the language level required for the language proficiency test, you are already recognized both the linguistic requirements for entry and the proof of language proficiency.

According to the provisions of the calls for scholarships provided by the Opera Universitaria, educational credits recognized with certifications obtained before enrollment will not be considered in the calculation to maintain the right to the scholarship.
