The Master’s Degree in Quantitative and Computational Biology is an advanced interdisciplinary programme that integrates biotechnology, data science, artificial intelligence and quantitative modelling to address complex biological problems.
The programme trains a new generation of scientists capable of transforming large-scale biological data into knowledge, developing predictive models of biological systems, and applying computational and bio-physical approaches to biomedical and biotechnological innovation.
Students will gain expertise in the analysis of multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics), artificial intelligence for life sciences, statistical modelling, and computational simulation of biological systems, from molecular interactions to complex regulatory networks.
Key application areas include:
- Precision medicine and clinical genomics
- Pharmacogenomics and drug discovery
- Biotechnology and bioengineering
- Computational biology and systems biology
- Data-driven healthcare and AI in biomedicine
The programme is fully taught in English and prepares graduates for careers in research, industry, biotech innovation and doctoral studies in life sciences and quantitative disciplines.
