Sociology and Social Research

The MA programme is designed for students who want to make a change in society, providing well-informed and scientifically rigorous advice. The MA in Sociology and Social Research prepares you to become professional social science researchers, who can reflect on and analyse society and social problems, design and conduct social research and make a valid contribution to contemporary social debates. 

During the first year, you will study the theoretical and methodology courses offered to all students that cover not only sociological methods but also interdisciplinary methods for historical and political research.

In the second year, you will choose your sociological specialization through elective courses, internships, thesis seminars and thesis drafting for the final dissertation.

The Master's programme is completely held in English.
