To follow the programme fruitfully,  you should have a solid background in some academic areas. These are the foundations we consider useful for getting the most out of the courses and they include basic concepts of mechanics, physics, electronics, automation and information technologies.

If you don’t have all of them, support tools, opportunities and dedicated instructors are available. You are strongly encouraged to address gaps in your preparation according to the guidelines provided on this page.

To check if you meet the entry requirements, you can undertake the Self assessment test.

The self-assessment tests will help you familiarize yourself with the disciplines you will go through during the MSC courses. Before undertaking the self-evaluation test, please consider the following:

• the test is not mandatory.
• The test reflects the entry requirements listed in the previous table.
• The test is a self-evaluation tool: it aims at helping you to autonomously assess your current academic level on the disciplines of the MSc.
• The results of the test are recorded anonymously and elaborated only for statistical purposes.
