The Master’s Degree in Intelligent Mechatronics Engineering prepares you to design and develop the next generation of intelligent technological systems. Today’s products are no longer purely mechanical: they are complex, connected and autonomous systems where mechanics, electronics, control and artificial intelligence work together.
In this programme, you will learn how to integrate physical design, advanced control and AI-driven software into high-performance mechatronic systems capable of perception, adaptation and autonomous decision-making. You will combine rigorous engineering foundations with extensive laboratory work, interdisciplinary projects and real interaction with industry.
The course is structured into four specialised curricula:
- Mechanics, where you will deepen advanced methods for modelling, simulation and design of mechanical systems, smart materials and energy conversion technologies.
- Robotics and Intelligent Vehicles, where you will develop competencies in cutting-edge robotics, distributed perception, autonomous driving and AI-based control of intelligent machines.
- Space Systems and Instruments, where you will study how to design space missions, spacecraft systems, remote sensing technologies and onboard intelligent computing for space applications.
- Electronics and Smart Energy Systems, where you will focus on microelectronics, IoT technologies, power electronics and smart grids for sustainable and connected energy systems.
The programme concludes with an extended internship and thesis project, giving you the opportunity to combine them into a structured professional experience lasting up to an entire semester, in collaboration with leading companies and research institutions in Italy or abroad.
