The course is free access for students with European citizenship and to students with non-European citizenship resident in Italy.
In order to be admitted two steps are required:
- a verification of admission requirements
- an interview with the course president, if you have a graduation mark lower than 90/110 (or equivalent grade).
To enrol in this programme you must have:
- a Bachelor's or equivalent university degree of at least three years;
- a graduation grade of minimum 90/110, or equivalent. With a lower mark you need to pass an admission interview with the course president.
- One third (60 ECTS) of the previous study programme has to refer to at least two of following areas (codes refer to Italian categories; examinations at foreign universities will be evaluated by the course president):
- Sociological area: SPS/07, SPS/08, SPS/09, SPS/10, SPS/11, SPS/12
- Economic and Statistic area: SECS-P/01, SECS-S/01, SECS-S/05
- Legal and Political area: IUS/07, IUS/09, IUS/14, SPS/04
- Historical, Antropological and Psycho-pedagogical area: M-STO/04, MDEA/01, M-PSI/05
- English proficiency at B1 level.
Detailed procedures and deadlines are published in April for those starting the course in September.
The application for verification of requirements is usually open from April to the beginning of December: you can submit it even if you have not yet obtained your degree and all curricular requirements.
An interview with the programme's president is needed for applicants with a graduation mark of less than 90/110 or equivalent: the interview normally takes place after the requirements verification and until December.
The deadline for enrolment is normally mid-December: at that time you must have gained your degree and all admission requirements.
If you lack certain curricular requirements, you can take examinations by enrolling in Single courses for Master's degrees.
If you do not have the language requirement, UniTrento usually organises language tests at the CLA (University Language Centre) from May to October. The calendar will be published as soon as it is available.
